Sharkbait Productions is a new independent documentary production company set up to raise awareness of environmental issues and the conservation of threatened species and habitats in the UK.
We aim to produce high quality, hard hitting, people based documentary programming tackling subjects ranging from raptor persecution to threats to British basking sharks from illegal fishing, bycatch and disturbance from tourist boats.

Over the spring of 2011 Sharkbait has been working with Liz Gunby from Eco-Schools and pupils from various secondary schools in Dumfries and Galloway to produce a short film about living a green life and saving energy.
The film follows the pupils designing and making puppets from a book 'Fluffville Saves Energy' written by Liz and staging awareness raising performances.
The whole process was great fun and the friends and family of all the participants seemed to enjoy the end result when they saw the finished film at the Burns Centre on May 05 2011 during the Dumfries and Galloway Film Festival which took place from April 29 to May 07 2011!
