About Sharkbait Productions


Sharkbait Productions was set up by Stuart Spray and Kevin Duffy. Stuart and Kevin have worked as ecologists in the UK and abroad for over 20 years and have a wide range of experience and contacts in the UK Conservation Movement.

Stuart Spray MSc


Stuart Spray has worked in the field of conservation for over 18 years and as an ecologist for organisations including Forestry Commission Scotland (FCS), Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH), Solway Heritage, The Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT) and The Scottish Wildlife Trust (SWT).

Stuart has taken part in a wide variety of high profile conservation projects ranging from monitoring barnacle geese on Bear Island in the High Arctic to coordinating the Seabird 2000 Census on Rum National Nature Reserve.

Stuart is an all-round ecologist with experience of surveying and monitoring a wide variety of protected species including other mammals, raptors, amphibians, reptiles, upland birds, waterfowl and seabirds.

Kevin Duffy MSc


Kevin has worked with birds and other wildlife for over 25 years. Initially employed in Edinburgh Zoo, has also worked abroad, mainly on Mauritius on the conservation of the highly endangered echo parakeet.

Kevin worked for Scottish Natural Heritage on the second phase of sea eagle reintroduction in the NW Highlands, then for 6 years for the RSPB on red kite reintroductions in Scotland. He still works with red kites, currently with Natural Research Ltd, investigating the impact of wind farms on the species.
